The two molecules of PGAL assist a series of energy harvesting reactions. Notice what is happening with the phosphate groups (represented by the yellow balls marked with a "P"). Which of these molecules is not generated by glycolysis? NADH ATP FADH2
Added by Carol B.
Step 1
The question is asking which molecule is not generated by glycolysis, a metabolic pathway that breaks down glucose to produce ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and other molecules. Show more…

Which is NOT made in glycolysis? lactate Inorganic phosphate glyceraldehyde NADH ATP pyruvate glucose-6-phosphate ADP 2,3-bisphosphoglycerate NAD+ dihydroxyacetone phosphate glucose-1-phosphate
Adi S.
Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate is a three-carbon molecule. For each molecule of glucose, two glyceraldehyde-3-phosphates are created in glycolysis before any of the NADH and ATP molecules are made, but after the two ATP molecules have been 'spent' preparing glucose for glycolysis. Each glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate is converted into 1 molecule of pyruvate. How many NADH and ATP molecules would be produced in converting glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate to pyruvate?
Kritanta A.
Besides the net gain of 2 ATP molecules in glycolysis which other molecules are simultaneously formed? (a) $\mathrm{FADH}_{2}$ (b) $\mathrm{NADPH}_{2}$ (c) $\mathrm{NADH}_{2}$ (d) $\mathrm{FAMH}_{2}$
