Stain the specimen on a slide using the following procedure:
1. Fix in absolute alcohol.
2. Transfer sections to 90%, 70%, 50%, 25% alcohol, and finally water.
3. Place a drop of hematoxylin.
4. Transfer to acid alcohol to destain.
5. Rinse in ammonia.
6. Place in 70% alcohol.
7. Counterstain with eosin for 1-2 minutes.
8. Dehydrate in 70%, 90%, and 100% alcohol.
9. Clear in xylol.
10. Mount in glycerol.
11. Observe the specimen under the light microscope.
