Today is the first time I have heard of the term "Keystone species". According to Cunningham, a fig fruit can also be considered a keystone species (Cunningham, 2023, p. 36). I was wondering if bees were also considered keystone species in this example. I have read multiple times that figs cannot produce fruit without a bee being trapped inside. If this is correct, would bees also be considered a keystone species?
