Okay? now, if you take a look at this tree, we see that sars and sars -cov are on completely different branches, right? if these two were related, if they're related, their phylogenetic tree would actually look so much more like this, where sars -cov and sars -cov -2 are going to be the two closest related to each other, okay? but we see from the original phylogenetic tree that actually they're not even real close, right? because they're on two completely different branches.
