A city employee uses a pressure washer to clean the wooden
boardwalk on a park trail. When the employee opens the valve
connecting the tank and the hose, she measures the water
stream passing the valve to have a speed of 30 m/s.
(a) If she knows the tank has a height of h = 0.54 m and is
currently half full of water, what is the pressure inside the tank? As
an approximation, you can ignore the speed with which the water
level drops in the tank. Take the density of water to be
1000 kg/m³.
