Conclusion Gather the class and review the goals set for each station. Ask learners to share what they accomplished and what they found interesting. Provide positive feedback and encouragement. Assessment: Observe learners during activities to assess their engagement and understanding. Use the completed art projects and group discussions to gauge their grasp of the topic. Provide feedback to each learner on their participation and achievements. (Engelbrecht, 2024) INDICATE four (4) differentiated instructional techniques as suggested by Tomlinson (1999) that were evident in the Morning Lesson Plan. DISCUSS where in the lesson plan each was used. [8] 4.2 DESCRIBE the importance for you as a teacher of placing the child at the centre of learning and play-based learning. Use the mark allocation to guide you in how much to write in your answer. [6] 4.3 READ Text 1 below and FILL IN THE MISSING WORDS indicated by numbers 4.3.1 to 4.3.8. You need only to indicate the number alongside your answer. Text 1 The term "The Fourth Industrial Revolution" was coined by Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairperson of the World Economic Forum. It describes how people now seamlessly transition between the 4.3.1 world of information and offline 4.3.2. Each 4.3.3 revolution—starting from the First, which shifted economies from agriculture to industry and mechanisation, to the Second, which introduced mass production with oil and electricity, and the Third, which automated production through information 4.3.4 — represents a continuous progression of societal change. What distinguishes the Fourth Industrial Revolution is the predominant use of technology and intellectual capabilities over manual labour in producing goods and services (Xu, David & Kim, 2018). As we anticipate a future where computers may surpass 4.3.5 in processing explicit 4.3.6 like language and mathematics, the challenge lies in cultivating 4.3.7 that machines cannot replicate—such as teamwork, leadership, 4.3.8 intelligence, and 4.3.9-solving. However, integrating technology into education, particularly in South Africa's Foundation Phase, faces significant barriers identified by Hannaway (2019): teachers' lack of technological knowledge and 4.3.10 proficiency, and 4.3.11 access to technology across schools. Over 80% of schooling in South Africa is conducted in English, a second language for many learners and teachers alike, posing comprehension challenges and hindering effective technology integration. To bridge these gaps and prepare learners for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, educators must prioritise nurturing creativity, social 4.3.12, and physical dexterity—the qualities that distinguish humans from machines (Brown-Martin, 2018). Teachers are now seen less as repositories of knowledge and more as guides who empower learners to deepen their understanding, take initiative, and develop lifelong learning skills. Embracing technology as a supportive tool can enhance personalised learning experiences, freeing teachers to provide individualised support while fostering social skills and experiential learning in the classroom.
