Explain optimal food combination graph. Having trouble understanding it.
Optimal combination of food types:
Moose must balance its diet between:
1) Aquatic plants (good source of sodium, poor source of energy)
2) Terrestrial plants (negligible source of sodium, good source of energy)
Constraints:
- Minimal needs in sodium
- Minimal needs in energy
- Maximal rumen capacity
Intake of terrestrial plants (g):
