In this video, we want to talk about a few pressing health policies in the u .s.
00:11
So a very key one is affordable health care.
00:18
People having access to insurance, not having to pay premiums out of pocket, the cost of going to the emergency room, seeing a provider, paying for medication.
00:32
There's lots of, you know, hitting costs entailed with surgery and so on and limited insurance coverage.
00:40
So a lot of people aren't getting the care that they need because of the way the medical system and the insurance system is structured.
00:53
Another thing is the disparities faced in access to health care.
00:59
So people who live in wealthy communities will be able to access health care.
01:04
Is probably closer and better have better options than people in lower income communities and the quality of care that people in lower income communities receive tends to be lower there's also a lot of still a lot of discrimination going on because of race socio -economic status gender and so on and then there's a lot of growing problems related to addiction specifically to pain that are prescribed for, you know, like if you get your wisdom teeth removed, and then you might just have more pills than you need and get hulked on them...
