Question 7 (1 point) Lysosomes digest unneeded intracellular debris through the process of: 1) endocytosis. 2) phagocytosis. 3) autophagy. 4) pinocytosis. 5) exocytosis.
Adi S.
Phagocytosis is the process by which large particles are transported into the cell. It occurs in the amoeba when they are feeding and in your own cells when they are destroying foreign invaders. Place the steps of phagocytosis in correct order: A vacuole is formed when the cell membrane encloses and isolates the particle from the rest of the cytoplasm. Pseudopods surround and engulf the food particle. A lysosome binds with the food vacuole, releasing digestive enzymes. An exocytic vesicle releases the undigested material.
