Explain how you design a latex agglutination test to determine if a person has been infected with COVID-19 in the past. What clinical sample would you analyze in this test?

1) What happens to proteins in a plastic well if the sample contained an antigen? What if it did not contain antigen? 2) Why are enzymes used in this immunoassay? 3) Why is it important to be able to detect antibodies in people who don't appear sick? 4) If you had tested positive for disease exposure, but did not have direct contact with one of the original infected students, what conclusions can you reach about the transmissibility of disease in a population?

To the microplate strip. Each sample contains many proteins. You added samples disease antigen: What happened to the proteins and may or may not contain the in the plastic well if the sample contained the antigen? What if the sample did not contain the antigen? Why was it required that you wash the wells following each step? What became of your sample if it contained the antigen? Once you added primary antibody to the wells, what became of your sample if it did not contain the antigen? Once you added secondary antibody to the wells, what became of your sample if it contained the antigen? What if it did not contain the antigen? Causing agent = from your sample obtained a negative result for the disease. If you that is being tested? Why does this confirm that you do not have the disease result when you actually have the disease? Might you get negative results when you are positive for the disease? What is the purpose of analyzing your samples in triplicate? Can you buy antibody-based tests that you can buy at a store (over-the-counter)? Are there antibody-based tests that you can buy at a store (over-the-counter) for the disease? Did this require you to have direct contact with the infected student(s)? If you are certain that you did not have contact with the infected student(s), what does this tell you about disease transmission in a population?
