What is the major advantage of a differential stain, such as the Gram stain, over a simple stain? Was this observed in your experiment?
Adi S.
Staining allows for visualization of bacterial cells because it increases contrast during microscopic imaging. Can someone please help me explain this
Madhur L.
Bacterial cells are distinguished into two classes of bacteria: Gram-positive and Gram-negative. This process is accomplished by performing the Gram stain. When performing the Gram stain, after decolorization, Gram-positive cells appear purple. At this point, why is it necessary to add the counterstain?
