Can someone please explain "substrate-level control" of enzymes? My biochem class explains it as the concentration of substrate affecting enzyme efficiency, giving product inhibition as an example. So... how does product inhibition qualify as substrate-level control? How does the product of a catalyzed reaction acting as an inhibitor to the enzyme affect the substrate concentration... which is then supposed to affect catalysis? I'm very lost here, thank you!
