Newton's Universal Law of Gravity was revolutionary because it was formulated at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution and ushered in the modern age of science. It was not predicted by Galileo. It did not predict the geocentric nature of the solar system. It made Newton universally famous. It said that gravity was a fact, not a theory. It implied that the laws of physics are the same everywhere.
