The hormonal and physiological changes that come with pregnancy are unique. One of these is the placenta (as shown above), which is a remarkable organ formed temporarily in the uterus of a pregnant woman. It has many functions, especially in the developing fetus, such as being a respiratory, excretory, and nutrition-delivery system. In addition to that, it also produces several protein and steroid hormones that help maintain the pregnancy and pave the way for the delivery of the baby. Enumerate the hormones that are being produced during pregnancy and be able to define their functions.
