So i think i'll answer this question kind of generally, and that's because the question is a little bit vague.
00:07
So the question relates to are there things, or ask, are the things that humans have made that make our lives easier, but are hurtful for the planet or for ecosystems? and so i have a few examples here, so i have a kind of a t -shirt, a really badly drawn car, and a really badly drawn tv, or they can think of a computer as well.
00:27
And so each one of these uses resources from the environment.
00:31
And so that's going to be one way that we're going to be affecting ecosystem.
00:35
So this shirt could be made of cotton, which is a natural resource or linen, a natural resource.
00:42
Could be a synthetic, right? something like polyester, which is going to be using, you know, using a petroleum base.
00:49
This car is going to use some natural resources as well, like rubber potentially on the tires, or silica in that glass windshield, as well as synthetics like plastics and other kinds of petroleum -based products.
01:05
And then finally, this tv is going to have a mixture of all those things, plus like rare earth minerals in the actual electronic components.
01:15
And, you know, the car is going to have electronic components as well that are going to use those rare minerals.
01:19
These are all examples of things that make our lives better, but are going to be using it natural resources.
01:24
And they also are going to be polluting, right? so things like the use of petroleum in, you know, synthetic fibers in that t -shirt or the use of gas in that car...
