What is the difference between miRNA and siRNA??
What is the main difference between miRNA and siRNA molecules? siRNA molecules cause an increase in protein production, while miRNAs decrease it. miRNA molecules are transcribed in the nucleus of the cell, whereas siRNA molecules enter the cell from the outside environment. miRNA molecules are much shorter than siRNA ones. Both miRNA and siRNA molecules bind to the 3'UTR of a mRNA to prevent translation.
