Alright, so in this question, we are given our mrna transcript, and we are being asked, what is the polypeptide that is formed? what are the amino acids that are making up this polypeptide? so i have our mrna sequence copied out in the whiteboard down below.

You'll notice that i did admit a few of the nucleotides at the beginning, and i started with the codon aug.

And this is because when our ribosome binds during translation, it is going to see.

Scan our mrna for our start codon, and our start codon is always a ug.

So it is not going to translate the nucleotides before our start codon, so that is why i did not include them.

So with that being said, in starting off with our codon of a ug, we simply just need to use our protein coding chart.
