When doing a serial dilution, why is it necessary to change to a fresh pipette when transferring liquids between each dilution tube? Because it is possible that the pipette is contaminated with respiratory viruses and should be discarded safety reasons. Because residual fluid in the tip used in a lower dilution tube can contaminate a higher dilution tube creating error in the results. Because it prevents aseptic technique from contaminating the samples.
