Describe the benefits of chemical pesticides.
Riaz A.
The use of insecticides in agriculture was introduced after the green revolution. Increase in population and the need for more food made the practice of monoculture a necessity. Evidently the problem of crop pests increased with monoculture and it became difficult to produce without the use of insecticides and herbicides. However, use of chemicals in agriculture threats human health and became an environmental hazard.
