39) Which communication technique will the nurse use more in crisis intervention than traditional counseling? Role modeling Giving direction Information giving Empathic listening
Sanchit J.
The outcome of counseling is largely determined by relationship factors such as warmth, empathy, respect, and genuineness. If clients treat open-ended questions as closed-ended questions by giving one-word responses, you may need to refer them to another practitioner who can understand them better. Alternatively, you may need to teach them to be a better client. You may also need to encourage them by saying, "Tell me more." Additionally, you may need to ask more closed-ended questions.
