Why is it impossible to transfer 100% of energy from one molecule to another? Energy can neither be created nor destroyed during an energy transfer. Each energy transformation increases the entropy of the universe, some energy is lost as heat. Some ATP is always created during an energy transfer. It is possible to have a 100% efficient transfer of energy.
