You need to make 500 ml of buffer solution and your stock solution is 5X, How would you make this solution?
Added by James W.
Step 1
Determine the final concentration of the buffer solution you need. In this case, you need to make 500 ml of buffer solution, so the final concentration will depend on the amount of stock solution you use. Show more…

You need to dilute the running buffer to run a protein gel. You have a stock solution that is 20X, and you want to make 500 mL of 1X buffer. How much of the 20X stock solution should you use (in mL)? They've been showing us how to use C1V1 = C2V2. I think I set this up as: C1(20X) = (1X)(500mL) C1 = ((1X)(500mL))/(20X) C1 = 25mL ?????
