So if we are in some sort of doctor's office and we are taking notes of an assessment, we might use a certain method called the soap method.
00:11
So in the soap method, we have four different sections of the assessment that we're doing on the patient.
00:19
So the first one is subjective.
00:23
This is all about what the patient says when they're coming in.
00:26
So this can be about, you know, surveys and symptoms that they, fill out or describe during the assessment.
00:35
It can be any follow -up questions that you ask.
00:38
You know, like, can you rate your pain on this scale? can you tell me where it hurts? them describing something to you, they don't have all the anatomical knowledge, and they can't see what's actually happening inside.
00:50
So they're doing the best they can with their limited knowledge.
00:53
So this is very subjective to the person.
00:55
And especially when we're talking about pain scales, right? people have different pain tolerances, and so it's very subjective to the person.
01:01
Now, the next section that we have o is objective.
01:06
This is things that are not in human hands that we can just read off.
01:11
So these are measurable things.
01:14
This can be lab reports.
01:16
This can be vitals.
01:18
This can be any test that you run that has very clear findings...
