Originally from Florida, I received my Bachelor's in economics from Florida State in 2018, and in the same year moved to Oregon to pursue a PhD in the subject. After realizing academia was not the right fit for me, I 'mastered out' of the program and am now transitioning into a career in data science.
During my time as a PhD student, I TA'd for numerous professors in a wide variety of econ courses, from entry level to upper division. Having been on both sides of the teacher's desk, so to speak, I feel I have a solid grasp on what the average econ student is going through and how to explain topics in a way that will actually resonate with them as a person. Although teaching is no longer my main career path, I thoroughly enjoy the work of education and feel driven to produce quality content. I'd be honored to have the opportunity to work with Numerade to help students succeed in the field.
