00:03 What is a scientific theory? well, some people might say that they aren't as important because they're not laws.

00:11 But the fact is, is that a scientific theory is something that we can have a lot of confidence in.

00:17 And the reason that we cannot make it a fact or a law is because there are certain parts of a scientific theory that we're not able to observe.

00:27 And so if we're not able to observe them, then we really can't say with a 100 % certain, that that's a fact.

00:35 So a scientific theory is something that is produced from people who have done experiments and observations again and again and again and again.
