Now, remember, the mouse coloration case study looked at a species of mouse that lived on the white beaches of florida and the inland brown habitat of inland florida, and the results they found were that mice living in the white sandy beaches had a white fur coloration, and mice living in the brown inland habitat had a brown coloration, and this allowed them to stay hidden from predators.

So the predators had pushed natural selection to create two different subspecies of mice that had different colors, even though they were considered to be the same species.

But the one we're going to be doing today is we're going to be looking at if this one species of mouse is actually two species.

And they would see if the mice there are interbreeding, if the white fir mice and the brown fir mice are actually breeding with each other or not.
