Okay, so what i did here is i typed in photograph of ursa major because i decided ursa major, which is also known as the big dipper, is my favorite constellation.

It's probably almost everybody's favorite constellation because people don't know anything except big dipper.

So let's look for colors of the stars.

So when i look at this constellation in the sky, what i see is that this one up here at the top right looks white.

The rest of them look blue.

So color indicates temperatures of the stars.

If we look at an hr diagram, the white one actually has a lower temperature than the bluish ones.

And yet it appears to be the brightest star in the constellation.

If some of the stars were red, they would be even a lower temperature.
