So one example of a chromosomal rearrangement might be reciprocal translocation.

So that would be an instance where two equal sections of dna are swapped between homologous chromosomes, like the area in green.

If there's an inversion loop that occurs during recombination, that can occur.

A third example of a rearrangement in a chromosome would be something called transposition, which is where a short segment of dna moves to another part of the chromosome or to another chromosome.
