so if we want a plane to take off, it has to be reaching a speed of 32 meters per second. So I'm gonna assume that it's starting from rest eso our initial velocity zero. And that means their final velocity is 32 meters per second. Okay. And over the course of its takeoff, it has an acceleration of constant acceleration of 3.0 meters per second squared. And so I want to find how long the runway is and so I'll just call the runway a distance. Delta X Ah! And again, when we have these four variables, uh, the easiest way to solve for one of them is to use this equation B squared equals the initial squared plus two a Delta X, and I'm looking for Delta X in this case. So if I plug in B squared is 32 squared, okay? And we're starting at zero. So that's just zero. We have two times 3.0, Delta X. If we sell for Delta X is gonna equal ah 170 meters, which is 1.7 times 10 of the two meters
