Today we're going to talk about chemical reactions and what happens to the energy being used within them.

So there are two types of reactions.

The first type we're going to talk about is endothermic.

This means it's going to absorb energy.

So it's going to take in a lot of energy.

So the way we can tell is that reactions or our reactants at the beginning here have much less energy than the products do.

So what's going to happen is the reactants are going to start off.

As it goes through the reaction, energy is going to actually come in to the reaction and help it get over this activation energy hump.

And then at the end, the energy present in the reactants in its chemical bonds and the energy added in will be the total stored energy in the products.
