00:11 We're using a lot of that groundwater for crops.

00:14 As a result, we are not allowing that groundwater to replenish.

00:19 And so harvest are decreasing.

00:21 We're trying to dig wells deeper.

00:24 So especially right now, the withdrawal of groundwater has surpassed the aquifers rate of replenishing itself.

00:34 So what are some consequences that we can look at and how can we help alleviate this problem? so like i said in an earlier video, it is, it's very much like a bank.

00:48 If you are constantly taking out and not putting in or not putting more in that you have taken out over time, it's going to be gone.

01:02 Water can be a finite resource if we don't use it properly.

01:08 So we know through the water cycle, you know, rain falls, water is absorbed into the ground stored in aquifer or in a lake or stream, and then evaporation brings that back up.

01:20 And in the atmosphere, cycle repeats all over again.

01:24 So if, again, if we don't allow that groundwater to replenish itself, sometimes the water is block from getting back to the ground or many other circumstances.
