00:01
All right, so we're in chapter 47 from 8.
00:04
And so it's what happens if we have an increase in global temperature.
00:12
I'm just going to abbreviate that as a temp.
00:16
So what happens if we have an increase in global temp? and so we have a few options here to talk through.
00:21
And the first is the inability of species to migrate to cooler climates, right? so if our whole globe is hotter, if we have roughly, the united states and there's south america and north america and there's a bit of europe and africa and east asia australia.
00:45
Okay.
00:46
So if the whole thing gets hotter, right? so you can then imagine that that's something that likes to live, say, up here, which normally prefers a very cold climate.
00:57
If that increases beyond what it can sustain, there's nowhere, there's nowhere for it to go, right? so then a is going to be a true statement.
01:09
And so we'll solve the destruction of coral reefs, right? so as the temperature increases, that means the temperature of the oceans is increasing.
01:19
And of course, the higher ocean temperature leads to that sort of acidification that destroys the reefs.
01:35
And so then we're going to get that b, that's a funny looking ass, that b is true.
01:43
Okay, so then we can move on then to c and see that we're talking about an increase in parasites in the temperate zone.
01:52
Now the temperate zone is this sort of not too hot, you know, not too cold.
01:58
And there's one in the south hemisphere as well, but for now let's focus here...
