All right, in this question, we're talking about three different ways to visualize and interpret bonds.

And so these are the lewis model, the valence bond theory, and the molecular orbital theory.

So let's start with the lewis model.

This basically says that a bond is when two atoms share electrons.

And this is really easy to visualize and learn with, and that's one of the plus sides.

It's like got two hydrogen atoms.

They both have one electron.

Well, when they bond under the lewis model, they basically put their electrons in the middle, and there we go.

And this model is really good for learning.

And it also makes a lot of sense and explains a lot of the bonding patterns that we see.

But of course, like with nature, there's always stuff that we can't explain.

And so we have to get a little bit deeper into the valence bond theory, which is when a bond is formed by the overlapping of orbitals.

And this is orbitals are like where the electrons tend to be.

It's like places of electron density.

And so in this case, if we wanted to draw our hydrogen bond, we've got our h and it's got an s orbital that looks like a sphere.
