3) Complete the LEP using the template provided in this unit.
4) Address all eight components of the LEP as outlined below:
1. Title, Age Range, and Goal:
• Title: (LEP): Choose a descriptive activity name.
• Age: Select an age group between two and eight years old.
• Goal: Clearly define the learning objective for the children.
2. Objective and Learning Standard:
• Objective: Develop at least two measurable objectives.
• Early Learning Standard: Identify one early learning standard applicable to children aged infants through 8 years old, such as the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards Strand D Science (CTELDS) or your state's Early Learning Standards.
3. Books and Content Knowledge: (NAEYC Standard 5a)
• Non-fiction Children's Book: Provide the title and author of a non-fiction children's book related to the science topic, along with an explanation of how it will support the lesson.
