Can you do problem 3 and show work?
Thank you for your help!
In the neighborhood, Cecil devises a plan while roaming campus. Figure 01 shows Cecil's not-very-well-thought-out plan.
Problem 100C: How much energy must be transferred to the gas as heat?
The gas is taken through a cycle where it is compressed at constant pressure, then expanded at constant volume back to its original temperature. Here are the questions related to this cycle:
a) Sketch this cycle on a PV-diagram.
b) What is the energy absorbed by the gas as heat during each step of the cycle?
c) What is the net work done by this heat engine?
d) Gretta would like for you to compare the efficiency of this heat engine to the highest efficiency possible for a heat engine operating between these two temperatures.
Problem 3: Cecil, Gretta, and Buster observe the behavior of the turkeys. They notice that out of the nine turkeys they watch, they have speeds of 5.00, 8.00, 12.0, 12.0, 12.0, 14.0, 14.0, 17.0, and 20.0 m/s.
a) Help Buster calculate the turkeys' average speed.
b) What is the RMS speed of the turkeys?
c) What is the most probable speed of the turkeys?
