is a 12 y.o. female patient with type 1 OM. Was admitted to the PICUfor management of DKA. On day of admission. She presented with recurrent vomiting and abd pain, seen at ED at MRMCand was found to be hyperglycemic, ketotis and acidotic with PH 6.9. Received appropriate resuscitation with fluid and started on insulin drip. Transferred here for further management. Endocrine: started on DKA protocol. IVfluids and insulin drips adjusted as per labs. Acidosis and electrolyte abnormalities, including hypokalemia and hypophoshatemia corrected . This morning, when the patient was ableto start PO feeds, she was switched to subcu insulin, and iv drip stopped. Peds endocrinology were following and their recommendations followed. Home regimen adjusted and written instructions given to patient.
