A large online store prides itself on its fast response to email questions to its technical department. A recent sample of 21 sample emails showed that the mean time for the technical department to respond was 49.00 hours with a standard deviation of 7.00 hours. The store has recently hired more staff members, and wants to know if the time to respond to emails has dropped from last year's average of 52.43 hours. At the 0.05 significance level, is it reasonable to conclude the average response time is less than last year's average? Follow the steps below to answer this question.

Problem 4: MRI Superconductivity In MRI machines, a *very* strong, and very spatially uniform magnetic field is needed to be able to image the body. The electromagnet generating the current that creates the magnetic field takes advantage of an exotic physics phenomenon known as superconductivity, where extremely high currents can be passed through materials with exactly zero resistance. However, superconductivity was a pretty recent discovery (~1970s or '80s) -- without superconductivity, MRI machines become extremely expensive to operate due to the cost of electricity. In this problem, we'll explore that, by considering what it takes to run an MRI machine on 'normal' conductivity materials. a) A typical clinical MRI creates a 1.5 Tesla magnetic field (very strong!). To image an entire body, the solenoid (coil of wires) should be about 1 meter in diameter, and 2 meters in length (that way a typical human body can fit into the solenoid, and with some space to spare to avoid claustrophobia). If the thickest copper wire you can buy is #6 gauge, how many loops wire do you need to cover the whole 2 meter length?
