In this question, we're asked, why is bmi going to be a better reflection of a person's health compared to just body mass? and this is, of course, because bmi actually takes in two dimensions.
00:14
It takes in body mass.
00:17
And it also takes in height.
00:19
And so, you know, of course, if someone tells you that they're at 150 pounds, the next question that you should probably have is how taller you, right? because 150 pounds at, you know, two meters is completely different from 150 pounds at, say, like, four and a half feet tall, right? and so this is why bmi is going to be a much better reflection of a person's health.
00:40
And we're asked how many bmi charts come with a warning that pregnant women and children should not use them.
00:47
And the reason is, obviously, because pregnant women are currently possessing a lot of tissue that is not necessarily going to be theirs in the long term.
00:56
They're going to give birth eventually.
00:57
And so any added weight from their infant will not really be sort of helpful in considering how healthy they are.

The same thing with children...
