A plasmid was digested with BamHI or EcoRI restriction endonucleases individually, or the two endonucleases together, and run out on an agarose gel, running to either whole or 1/2 numbers (shown below). Bands on the gel are at 10, 4, 3.5, 3, 2.5, and 1 kb.
1. Draw the positive and negative electrodes on the gel (2 points).
2. Reconstruct and draw a diagram of the plasmid, making sure you indicate both the location of the restriction sites and the sizes of the varying pieces (8 points).
