Flowering plants (Angiosperms) are the most abundant and diverse form of plant life on Earth. In these plants, the male gamete is housed inside of a pollen grain that is actually comprised of two or more cells. The first is the tube cell and the others are the generative cells which are housed INSIDE the tube cell and will ultimately fertilize the egg. All of these cells are haploid. Based on this information and your knowledge of mitosis and/or meiosis provide a reasonable explanation for how these formed.
