Most neurons, once damaged, will not regenerate. The use of embryonic stem cells has been proposed as a potential treatment for many neurological diseases. Neurons developed from such stem cells might be able to replace those damaged by the disease. Do you favor or oppose research along those lines? Explain your answer.
