IV. Procedure:
1. From the problems and illustrations above, draw the pneumatic and electrical diagram in the space provided below.
2. To test your work, use the fluidsim software and simulate your circuit.
3. After testing your circuit using the electro-pneumatic software, connect the pneumatic components on the simulation board. (Make sure that the pressure is off when connecting the pneumatic tubing).
4. Use the manual override button to test if the cylinder advances using the solenoid valve.
5. Make sure that the power supply is off and connect the electrical circuit.
6. Let your instructor check your work before energizing the circuit.
7. Test your work.
A. Gravity Feed Magazine
Wooden planks are to be pushed along from a gravity feed magazine to a clamping device. By pressing the momentarily pushbutton switch, one plank is pushed by the slide out of the gravity feed magazine. After the slide has reached the forward end position, it is returned to its start position.
