The steel shaft is made from three segments: segments AB and CD have a diameter of 20 mm, and BC is a tube with an outside diameter of 24 mm and a thickness of 2 mm. If ends A and D are fixed and the shaft is loaded with torques as shown in the figure:
a) Determine the absolute maximum shear stress in the shaft.
b) The angle of twist at C, in degrees.
