Select all that is true about dimensioning on technical drawings. Dimensions should be between adjacent views when practical. It is OK to dimension to hidden lines. Arcs are dimensioned with a capital 'R'. It does not matter which view a feature is dimensioned in. It is important to provide the exact amount of information about the object to fully describe sizes and locations of features without over- or under-dimensioning. Rods or solid cylinders (like the outside diameter of a pipe) diameters are dimensioned in the view they appear sideways, or rectangular, or longitudinal, with a Greek letter Phi to indicate it is a diameter. Holes' diameters are dimensioned in the view they appear round with a Greek letter Phi to indicate it is a diameter. Dimensions should placed outside of object edges. It is OK to dimension the same measurement of the same feature multiple times on multiple views to make sure the size or location is communicated well. Dimensions should be placed in the most characteristic view of a given feature. Dimension values change based on the scale of the drawing. Dimensions may be placed inside the boundaries of the object anytime.

Help with Geometry: A blueprint of a room drawn on a coordinate plane, using an appropriate scale. A page of calculations showing how you found the perimeter and area of the remodeled room. A reflection about the strengths and weaknesses of your blueprint and how the weaknesses could be addressed. Classifications of three polygons that were used to represent appliances or furniture in your blueprint. Blueprint: What are the actual measurements of your room? What is the scale that you will use for your scale drawing so it will fit on a piece of paper? What will the dimensions of your room be in your scale drawing? Show your work. Calculate the perimeter and area of your scaled room. Be sure to show your work. Use the scale to draw the outline of your room and be sure to include the scale in the corner of the drawing. You should do this on the graph paper. You can complete it electronically or by hand and submit a picture. Find the measurements of three pieces of furniture or appliances. Use a proportion to change the actual measurements of the furniture/appliances to the scaled measurements you will use in your drawing (see example). Be sure to show your work and record your work and results in the table above. Add the 3 pieces of furniture to your scale drawing and label them. Classify each piece of furniture/appliance in your room as a polygon using key terms from the unit (summary on lesson p. 2) in the table above.

PERFORMANCE TASK. Read the given situation and do what is asked. A rubric in evaluating your output is also provided. Performance Standard: The learner is able to create models of plane figures and formulate and solve accurately authentic problems involving sides and angles of a polygon. Learning Competency: The learner illustrates a circle and the terms related to it: radius, diameter chord, center, arc, chord, central angle, and inscribed angle. In your mathematics class, your teacher gave each student a pizza. You have two choices: a pizza with 15cm diameter or a pizza with 10cm radius. As the class representative, which among the two pizzas is better? Draw the two pizzas, compare, and make your decision. Justify your answer. You will be assessed based on your illustration, accuracy, decision and explanation. PIZZA WITH 15cm DIAMETER Illustration: PIZZA WITH 10cm RADIUS Illustration: DECISION: REASON: PERFORMANCE TASK RUBRIC Criteria | 4 OUTSTANDING | 3 SATISFACTORY | 2 DEVELOPING | 1 BEGINNING Illustration | All lines and arcs correctly placed and drawn | Most lines and arcs correctly placed and drawn | Some lines and arcs correctly placed and drawn | Lines and arcs incorrectly placed and drawn Mathematical Accuracy | All measurements of the diameter or radius are performed correctly | Almost all measurements of the diameter or radius are performed correctly | Some measurements of the diameter or radius are performed correctly | Measurements of the diameter or radius are performed incorrectly Decision and Explanation | Decision and explanation are complete and reasonable. | Decision and explanation are complete. | Decision and explanation are incomplete. | Decision and explanation are incomplete and not organized.
