Hi, in this video we're given the prices for the closing stock prices of some company, and we want to find the three -unit moving average.
00:11
So the three -unit moving average is simply the value of the price plus the two additional prices beforehand.
00:27
So to calculate the moving averages, we really just have to calculate a bunch of a bunch of averages.
00:33
So for the first one, because there's only one price, we just let it be 23.
00:39
And then for the second one, since there's only two up until then, we just take the average of 23 and 21, which is 22.
00:48
And then for three, we can now take the real three unit moving average.
00:55
And so that's 23, 21, and 22, which also has an average of 22.
01:01
And then we just continue this pattern.
01:06
So now we take the average of 21, 22, and 23, and so we get 22 again.
01:15
And then we take the average of 22, 23, and 27, which is 24.
01:22
And then 23, 27, and 25, which is 25.
01:27
And then 27, 25, and 26, which is 26...
