All right, so basically this is just talking about environmental protests and what you think of them and examples and whatnot.
00:13
So overall, that's what you need to do.
00:18
You need civil disobedience.
00:19
You need protests in order to make the government and those in charge do anything.
00:24
So two specific examples.
00:26
I'll do one older one and one recent one that are related in a way.
00:30
The first one is from 1970.
00:39
This was the first earth day.
00:46
This was organized by a senator, i believe.
00:52
And it basically, i think it was around 20 million people participated.
00:58
So it's a pretty big number.
01:00
It was all over the country.
01:04
And it was pretty much a protest calling for more action to help climate change.
01:11
It contributed to the epa, the environmental protection agency.
01:18
It was sort of like an anti -war style protest, a sit -in, and teach in, that time of stuff, to educate people and bring awareness to it.
01:26
And it also led to the formation of earth day, which we celebrate all the time.
01:31
Pretty significant protest and then the second one or more recent one it was this year actually um so 2022 on earth day as well um this one's a little more uh extreme so we're going to show two styles of protest here um a man i forget the name of who he was um set himself on fire um on the front of the supreme court steps and and one thing that i think is interesting about this story is it didn't get a lot of attention.
02:13
As i'm saying this, some people might not have heard about this...
