5 Infinite line of point charges
There is a positive test charge q. A distance d away from it is a positive charge Q. A distance d further away is a
charge -Q. Further oscillating charges continue to infinity.
1. Which direction (to the left or right) is the force on the point charge?
2. Write an expression for the magnitude of the force on the test charge. You may leave operators (e.g. sums,
integrals, and derivatives) in your answer, you don't need to evaluate them yet.
3. Use wolfram to evaluate your expression. You can leave q, Q, d, \epsilon_0, and/or K in your answer.
