Answer the following questions below:
a.) A transformer has a primary winding with 500 turns and two secondary windings of 125 and 36 turns, respectively. The 125-turn secondary winding has 60 ohms linked to its terminals and the 36-turn secondary winding has 3 ohms connected to its terminals. If the main is linked to a 120-V, 60 Hz source, determine the current in the primary winding.
b.) A 10 kVA, 2400/240-V single-phase transformer has the following resistance and reactance. Find the primary voltage required to produce 240 volts at the secondary terminals at full load, when the power factor is 0.8 lagging.
r1 = 3Ω, x1 = 15Ω
r2 = 0.03Ω, x2 = 150Ω
c.) A 100 kVA transformer has 94% efficiency at full load and at 50% full load with unity power factor. Evaluate the efficiency at quarter load, 0.80 power factor lagging.
