Since $\frac{-1}{10} = \frac{-10}{100}$, then $\frac{-10}{100} + \frac{9}{100} = \frac{1}{100}$. Also, since $\frac{9}{100}$ is a negative number then $\frac{-10}{100} > \frac{-1}{100}$. Therefore, $\frac{-1}{100}$ is farther to the left on a number line and greater than $\frac{-1}{10}$
