Which of these is not an advantage of the arthropod exoskeleton? The stiff exoskeleton provides support against gravity on land. A stiff body covering provides an effective structure for muscle attachment. The cuticle of the exoskeleton is strong but flexible, allowing the body to expand as the body grows. The hard covering provides protection.
